








FAMILIES- There will
be Craft Vendors, Hay rides, a Pie Bake Off with apple or pumpkin
pies, Pumpkin Carving Contest for ages 6 & up, and Food Vendors.
There will be a Haunted Attraction and pumpkin painting for a
minimum charge.
ADULTS- At 8pm, the
Halloween Hoe-Down will begin on Main St., featuring the Ice Man,
and will continue until 10pm. Door prizes and awards will
be given throughout the dance. An Adult Costume Contest
will be held at 9pm and prizes will be given for the following
categories: 1. Most Creative 2. Most Scary 3. Best
Couple 4. Celebrity Look A Like

Night Lights is an outdoor show done at twilight. It involves three different types of fire manipulation. It includes stories, one a Native American tale of the Crow, and a second about a darkness monster. It features brilliant juggling of glowing orbs, and an audience participation piece with a flying saucer.
CONTESTS-
A Pie Bake Off Contest will be held on 2nd Street. All pie entries
must be pre registered by calling the Parks & Recreation Department
by Thursday October 26th at 4pm. Pies need to be brought
to the judging table no later than 3:30pm on Saturday. Pies
can be entered in the Pumpkin or Apple categories.
Pumpkin Carving Contest- Also located on 2nd Street.
Categories include Artistic Design, Spookiest, and Cutest.
Pumpkins must be brought to the judging booth no later than 3:30pm
on Saturday already carved. This competition is for ages
6 & up.
DOG LOVERS- Luxury Pets will
be sponsoring a Doggie Costume Contest, pet photos, pet tricks,
and information about pet services in Richmond. Dog activities
will be held on 2nd Street on the Courthouse Lawn. The dog
costume contest will begin at 3:30pm with categories including
most original, best 2 part costume (dog+owner), and cutest small
and large dogs.

| Cutest small and large dogs category | Purchased costume and most applicable to the breed. |
| Two-part costume category | Owner and dog must coordinate with a theme. Costume must be original and creative. |
There will be a table set up on the Corner of 2nd Street and
Main to register your dogs. All dogs must have up to date
vaccinations that are signed by a veterinarian. All dogs
must be on a leash at all times and owners must clean up after
their animals. Bags for waste removal will be available
on Second Street next to the Court House. Registration forms and
official rules for contestants are available at the Parks Dept

Community Businesses- We encourage
local businesses and community organizations to help pass out
candy during our Trick or Treat hours from 5pm-7pm. Your
organization can set up a booth or just bring some chairs to help
offer a safe alternative to Trick or Treating in Richmond.

or Treat Flyer. We are also looking for door prizes to give
out at the Adult Costume Party. Please contact Erin
or Maggy if you have anything that you would be willing to donate
to this community event!
