Former Director of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Program
at Berea College
Recipient of the 2014 Kiwanis
Jack Taylor Award for Service to Agriculture
Presented award by Vickie Damrel at the 2014 Farm City Banquet

Tuesday, November 11
Tour of the EKU Greenhouses
by John Duvall, Head of EKU Greenhouses
We will meet at the A.B. Carter Building - Agriculture Building
The Carter Building is on the Eastern ByPass
across from the State Police building.
Park at the rear of the Agriculture Building.
We will first hold a brief meeting in the Carter Building
After our meeting we will walk to the greenhouses.
The greenhouses include flowers and ferns used for university functions,
poinsettias sold to fund agriculture programs,
and a tropical teaching greenhouse where horticulture students learn
how to propagate and care for exotic plants.

Madison Central High School Key Club
Induction of 2014-15 Officers and New Members
The event will be held in the Madison Central High School Auditorium
Organizing this induction 45 or more members of the MCHS Key Club will be
conducted by John Babuka, President of the MCHS Key Club
Inductees will learn about the services provided by the club such as
supporting the food bank and collecting in trick-or-treat boxes to
support the work with children around the world.
Assisting in the organization will be Buffy Turner, faculty adviser and Kiwanian.
The parents and the public is invited to attend this induction.

42nd Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
First Baptist Church, 425 Eastern By-Pass
All you can eat - Pancakes, sausage, drinks
Adults - $5, Children - $3
Fundraiser to support children services

Tuesday, November 18
Club discussion of current and potential hands-on projects to
serve the Madison County community
Joan Kleine will moderate the discussion.
Come with your fresh ideas for discussion of hands-on projects.

Tuesday, November 25
Brandon Sears
Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources
for the Madison County Extension Office
He will speak on: "Agriculture in Madison County".
