New officers of the Kiwanis Club of Richmond. The officers are: Dr. Kim Naugle,President; Marilou "Piddle" Johnson, Immediate Past President, David Harkleroad, VP/President Elect; Danny Damrel, Secretary; Brenda Blankenship, Treasurer. The Board of Directors include Dr. Larry Bobbert, Tracy Burdett, Elbert Hudson, Dr. Robert Nayle, Jared Nobel, Dr. Morris Tayor, and Coleman Turpin.

Immediate Past Lt. Governor Glen Kleine(left) inducted the Richmond officers and board and Past Governor Ken Clawson (right) inducted the Irvine Ravenne officers and board.

New officers of the Kiwanis Club of Irvine-Ravenna. The officers are: Steve Garrett ,President; Charles "Doots" Muncy, Immediate Past President, Rebecca Werner, First Vice President, Guy Hatfield III, Second Vice President, Bobby Rose Secretary; Scott Hatfield, Assistant Secretary; Eugene Bush, Treasurer. The Board of Directors include LaDonna Cornett, Sherry Fox, Paul "Sonny" Muncie, Berma Newton, and Charles Vanhuss.

Two George F. Hixson Fellows were named at the induction ceremony. Piddle Johnson, President of the Richmond Club, pins the Hixson pin on newly designated Hickson Fellow Jack Taylor who is approaching his 50th year in Kiwanis. The Irvine Club also awarded Charles Vanhuss. a George F. Hixson Fellowship

The George F. Hixson Fellowship represents a $1,000 donation, in the recipients name, to the Kiwanis International Foundation which funds its Worldwide Service Project. The George F. Hixson Fellowship, dedicated to eliminating Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD) in the world, is named after the first Kiwanis International President.

During the past decade, the Kiwanis family collected more than $75 million as part of its Worldwide Service Project, which allowed Kiwanis International, in cooperation with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, to implement salt-iodization programs throughout the world. Worldwide IDD rates have declined significantly, however, every day, 113,000 babies are born at risk of iodine deficiency.

Dr. Kim Naugel, the 2004-2005 president of the Richmond Club, presents a plaque to Mary Lou "Piddle" Johnson for her service as the 2003-2004 president of the club.

A special award was given to Harold Lamb (right) by Charles "Doots" Muncy, the Irvine Club President, for completing 50 years membership in Kiwanis International. The joint induction was an opportunity for both clubs to name the Kiwanian of the year as well as provide Yonth Service Awards, Perfect Attendance Awards, and President's Awards. The joint installation was held at Cedar Village in Irvine, KY.
